I take care of all the technical arrangements for interpretation, including audiovisual equipment, and provide expert advice on the interpreting method that best suits your event’s needs.
What is simultaneous interpreting?
Simultaneous interpreting is most commonly used for large-scale events such as conferences, congresses, seminars, or symposiums. In this format, the interpreter (also known as a conference interpreter) works from a soundproof booth equipped with headphones to listen to the speaker and a microphone to deliver the interpretation in real time into the required language. Participants hear the interpretation almost instantly through headsets, enabling smooth and uninterrupted communication.
This method is ideal for multilingual events where interpretation is needed in several languages simultaneously. Due to the intense focus it demands, interpreters work in teams of two or three per target language, alternating every 20-30 minutes to maintain high-quality delivery without interruptions.
Why choose simultaneous interpreting?
Simultaneous interpreting saves time by eliminating lengthy pauses and keeps your event on schedule, even when multiple languages are involved. For smaller or less formal settings, whispered interpreting is a great alternative, requiring no technical equipment. I also offer consecutive and liaison interpreting services, tailoring my approach to suit the nature of your event.
